Healthy 'Five Guys' Bacon Cheeseburger

Check out this healthy five guys burger. Low calories, low syns and low ww points.

Yes that's right, a healthy bacon cheeseburger! Well, when I say healthy, I really mean a healthier alternative.

This is MUCH healthier than the real thing but not quite as healthy as a big fresh salad, although you could add as much veg as you wanted to this burger. At around 700 calories for the whole thing, this healthier (ish) bacon cheese burger is perfect for when you want something naughty but don't want to add 1200+ calories to your day. You can make this recipe super low SW syns and WW points if you make the little tweak of using a wholemeal bread bun instead of the brioche bun so it's very diet friendly. Oh and if you haven't already, make sure you head over to Instagram and give Fat Loss Feast a follow, we have some exciting stuff coming soon. Healthy 'Five Guys' Bacon Cheeseburger Serves 1 - 700 calories. Although this serves one, this makes a big batch of burger mince which is perfect for quick burgers over the next few days. Ingredients 500g of Extra Lean Mince Beef 1 Brioche Bun 250g of skin on Potatoes, cut into chip shapes 1 medium egg yolk

1 Bacon Medallion, chopped into strips 1 'light' cheese slice, half for each burger

0.5 tsp of Garlic Granules Salt and Pepper Some Low Cal Spray Tin Foil

Salad and Sauces of choice. I like having Lettuce, Tomato, Gherkins (don't judge me) and Onion in mine for salad and I have A squirt or tomato ketchup, american mustard and light mayo too. Be sure to measure out sauce as it can quickly boost up the calories if you're not careful.

I cook the Onion when I'm cooking the bacon so it's slightly browned. Method Pre heat the oven to 180c. In a bowl, mix the Potatoes, Garlic Granules, Salt and Pepper with some oil or low cal spray, Make sure everything is mixed well and then put on a baking tray and cook for 20/25 minutes until brown. In another bowl. mix the mince with the egg yolk, salt and pepper. Take out around 150g of mince and shape into 2 burgers with it. Let rest for 2/3 minutes. Heat a little low calorie spray in a pan on a medium/high heat. Cook for around 3 minutes until brown. During this time, add the bacon. Flip the burgers to cook for another 3 minutes as well as adding the onion. Take the burgers, bacon and Onions from the pan. Add a little more spray and add the bun in to lightly toast. Now it's time assemble burger. On some foil, assemble burger how you like it. I go sauce, lettuce, tomato, burger, cheese, bacon, onion, burger, cheese, bacon, gherkins and then top of the bun. Writing that made me double check that all of this is only 700 calories. Wrap the bun in the foil and put in the oven on 180c for 8 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
