The Meatza

  • 500g of extra lean steak mince

  • 2 tbsp of Tomato Puree

  • A little water

  • 3 cloves of Garlic

  • 50g of Low Fat Cheese

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon of oregano

  • salt and pepper to taste


- Make the base by mixing the mince, egg, oregano, salt and pepper in a bowl for a few minutes until combined

- Press the mixture in a greased or non stick oven proof dish forming a pizza shape around about an inch thick

- Finely chop the garlic

- Add enough tomato puree for the base, mix with a little water, garlic and a little oregano

- Grate the cheese on to the top of the pizza

- Place into a pre heated oven at 200C or gas mark 6

- After ten minutes, drain the excess fat that's in the tray then return to the oven until the cheese has browned off and the base is cooked
