Cheese Filled Burgers

Cheese Filled Burgers

Serves 3/4

Ingredients

500g of 5% Lean Mince 1/2 large onion, finely chopped

1 Garlic clove, finely chopped

1/2 large onion, chopped lengthways

1 stock cube in 30ml of water

Handful of Flat Leaf Parsley, Finely chopped Low Fat Cheese - Around 30g per burger

A Bagel Thin per burger Splash of balsamic Vinegar Chopped Tomato Lettuce A little low cal spray or olive oil

Spice rub

1 tsp of garlic powder

1 tsp of onion powder

2 tsp of smoked paprika

1 tsp of Black Pepper

Pinch of salt

Method

1 - Mix the mince, finely chopped onion, garlic and parsley into a bowl and mix. 2 - Add the stock and mix a little more.

3 - Make into 3/4 burgers with your hands. 4 - Add around 30g of low fat cheese to each burger and reshape it so the cheese is in the middle. 5 - Rub both sides with a little of the spices. 6 - In a medium heat pan, add some low cal spray and add the burgers, cooking for around 3/4 minutes each side until they are just cooked through.

7 - once the burger is done, add a little more spray and put the rest of the onions in. After a few minutes, add a splash of balsamic and cook for another few minutes.

Serve with a toasted bagel, some lettuce, a slice of tomato the burger and then topped with the onions.
